Nitisha Jiwa - rle Clinical Director

Nitisha is a registered Forensic Psychologist with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) and a chartered member of the British Psychological Society (BPS), including the Division of Forensic Psychology. She has experience across assessment, complex formulation (applying a variety of frameworks depending on the contextual and interpersonal factors of the individual) and developing/ facilitating a wide range of intervention that is informed by evidence-based practice. Nitisha has worked with young people and adults who present with complex needs across custodial and community-based settings, including residential placements. She has provided consultation and training for the purpose of risk management. 

From an organisational perspective, Nitisha has written national, governmental policy related to custodial risk management approaches in supporting and managing young adults, who are involved in group membership. She has also developed a governmental service policy that outlines the management and supervision process for supporting young adults in custody who present with complex needs and presentations, that contribute to an increased risk to self, or others. She is dedicated to supporting young people within residential care, and those who work with them, in order to improve their quality of life and safeguard their future. 

Nitisha is also the RLE Designated Safeguarding Lead.
