David Dunwell - CEO of Lancashire Mind

 David Dunwell, Chief Executive Officer of Lancashire Mind, will be offering consultancy advise to RLE focusing on organisational governance, strategic business development, and risk management. David has 14+ years experience working in the community and third sectors, with the most recent decade operating at senior leadership level building a strong track record of leading strategic growth and change management. 

Most of this period was spent working within professional football club charitable arms, with a period working for a national governing body (NGB) - the commonality of these experiences being the use of sport and other engaging activities as a vehicle for positive social change and impact. 

With a passion for mental health - particularly for supporting young people - David has experience participating within numerous strategic boards - including, amongst other positions, being a voluntary sector representative on Lancashire and South Cumbria's Integrated Care Board's Mental Health Transformation Board. Previously as a Trustee at Lancashire Mind, David chaired the People and Governance Committee due to extensive experience in policy development and HR/people matters, before taking up the reigns as CEO of the charity in early 2023.
