Adam Walne - RLE Managing Director

As a former professional rugby league player, Adam brings over 10 years of experience in high pressure elite sports environments which has equipped him with the essential attributes to become successful in business. Competing at the highest level of his chosen sport has built transferable skills such as - resilience, strong leadership, effective communication, decision-making ability, vision, strategic thinking. accountability, attention to detail & teamwork. 

Throughout his playing career Adam was exposed to some of the world’s best strength & conditioning coaches, physiotherapists, mentors, sports psychologists, leaders and coaches all which he openly praises for helping shape him both on and off the field. 

During his professional playing career Adam actively engaged with communities, schools, and local sports clubs, witnessing firsthand the transformative power of positive role models and the impact of sport combined with education has on youth development.

Building on his passion for health & wellbeing, on a mission to help people maximise their time on earth Adam successfully transitioned from professional sport founding RAW & OUTDOOR, a health and fitness community dedicated to transforming lives. To date, R&O has helped hundreds of individuals, teams and organisations improve their health and well-being, providing a proven platform for life-changing results with lasting impact. 

In addition to his commitment to health & fitness, Adam founded Real Life Education (RLE), a forward-thinking organisation designed to revolutionise the way education and children’s residential care is provided in the UK. Creating a unique and inclusive model which combines its own in-house clinical team, mentoring service & education team - engaging, empowering and evolving vulnerable young people and the team around the child with bespoke programmes, interventions and training. 

It’s RLE’s holistic approach delivered in a therapeutic way with its blend of professionals and life experienced aspirational mentors and coaches that has proven to have a transformative effect and real outcomes for the hardest to reach children and young people.
