Dr Paula Corredor Lopez - Clinical Leadership

 Dr Paula Corredor Lopez is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist who specialises in working with young people and families, children who are neurodiverse and those who are in the Care system.
Paula provides clinical leadership within Real Life Education. She has twenty-five years post-qualified experience working in the NHS. Social Care, Education and University/Academic settings.
Paula was Programme Director (Clinical) until September 2024, heading one of the largest doctoral training in Clinical Psychology Courses in the country- coordinating and collaborating across all the North Thames training Course region- with psychology colleagues at UCL and Royal Holloway universities- to provide training placements for all three Courses. As part of this Paula regularly trained, supervised trainees and regional supervisors and supervised research projects -and liaised with NHS England and training providers.
Paula was External Examiner for the Child Clinical Associate in Psychology training Course at Royal Holloway.
In commitment to the development of the profession, Paula has also represented her profession on two professional committees within the British Psychological Society- leading Continuing Professional Development and Conference Chair for the Faculty for Children, Young People and Families, and Public Health and prevention sub-committee.

Despite the senior and leadership roles and an MBA from Manchester Business School- Paula’s heart is always in her clinical work and developing ways to transform psychology provision,  to make it more accessible for young people and families- developing nationally recognised models of best practice (NHS England Transforming Care Agenda) of models of immediacy within her work- and she is committed to further this in her current support to RLE mentoring services.
